Took a side trip to break the boredom of interstate travel down 77. Its a marvel of erosion, solid rock that looks like a wall that provides a good overlook from the top. Not much more to plan a day around so unless you are a hiker you will only need a half hour to see it.
Nice little stop as you drive the Coal Heritage Trail. It has a nice trail for hiking, restrooms and a great view of the valley.
Lived near this part for 6 years. Visited it many many times and my sister even got married here in 2007. Even more beautiful in the fall when the leaves are changing!
A beautiful place to picnic and sight see but one major problem! An outhouse as a restroom facility! That puts a damper on going. Other then that, its amazingly beautiful!
Climbing Pinnacle rock was the thing to do. You can't do that anymore, but it was bragging rights when I was a child!
When heading to Historic Bramwell, WV you can't miss Pinnacle Rock State Park. Stop, climb the rocks and take some nice pictures.
A great outcropping in Southern West Virginia...beautiful view, nice picnic area!
The out cropping of rocks and the view was nice but not much else there to do. The rest rooms were clean and easy to find.
Hiking in freezing weather yet the views were very good and the light snow make it appear even better. There were very few hikers out so we had the trails to ourselves.
The park is puttin gsome rather lengthy trails. The loca Boy Scout Order of the Arrow group worked on some of then within the past month. I was told that they're pretty good.
